Dermal Filler treatments

Sculpt/Contour
Sculpt & Contour is about enhancing and balancing features such as cheeks, chins and jawline, and bringing harmony to the face. The procedure involves placing small amounts of dermal filler strategically to enhance facial proportions, improve how light reflects on the skin and create shadows giving the face a more contoured and slimmed appearance.
Dermal fillers comes in different viscosities. For this procedure we use a structured filler product placed more deeply, giving a natural looking result that feels soft and normal to touch. The products all contain local anaesthetic which increases comfort during the procedure but we also routinely pre-numb using medical grade numbing cream. This means you will feel slightly numb for up to 2 hours after the procedure. There is also a possibility of bruising and / or swelling with any procedure so we advise taking this into account when planning these treatments.
The results are immediately visible, with best effects at 4-6 weeks. Results last anywhere from 6 months to 2 years depending on the area / product / patient.

Lip Filler
Lips do not need to look fake. It is important that the limitations of your own natural anatomy are respected, and the correct filler products are used to achieve results. This treatment can add definition, contour and balance lip proportions in a way that mimics nature.
The procedure itself takes approximately 45 minutes. We pre-apply medical grade numbing cream, and the hyaluronic acid products contain local anaesthetic so the procedure is comfortable. We can offer a full dental block if preferred.
Swelling and / or bruising is quite normal with this procedure, and we advise allowing 24-48 hours for most of this to resolve. Hence it is important that patients schedule these procedures accordingly.

Tear Trough
Dark circles or hollows under the eyes known as tear troughs are a common concern. It can make you look tired and aged. One of the factors contributing to “dark circles” is volume loss under the eye giving a hollow appearance. Other factors are skin pigmentation with darker skin types ie Asian and African patients, and excessive laxity of lower eyelid skin / poor quality of skin.
It is important to note that dermal fillers can improve the appearance of volume loss in this area, but will not treat pigmentation issues.
If the issue is skin laxity and poor skin quality, especially crepey skin, it may be best to consider treatments such as Sunekos skin boosters, or other medical skin care solutions like laser resurfacing. This will be discussed at consultation.

Soften lines and wrinkles
A soft low viscosity dermal filler can be used to add skin support and hydration. This can help treat deeper Nasolabial folds (nose to mouth lines), Marionette folds (corner of mouth support), smokers lines, smile lines. A ‘less is more’ approach is employed here to keep results subtle and natural.
Treatment takes anything from 30mins to 1 hour. Best results seen at 3-4 weeks, with effects lasting anywhere from 6-12 months. As with any dermal filler treatment, post operative numbness for 1-2 hours is normal, with some redness and / or bruising post procedure. It is therefore important to plan procedure accordingly.
